Strong start at the Varsselring in Hengelo

The first race weekend is in the books! Rhys and Darryl delivered good results, finishing most of the races in the top 10 in the IRRC Supersport and Superbike classes.

After Saturday’s qualifying day, Darryl and Rhys were in a good position for Sunday’s races. Darryl started the Superbike race from 18th place, with Rhys just ahead in 17th. In the Supersport class, Darryl started from 6th place and Rhys from a solid 10th. After a few small tweaks to the setup, they were all set for Sunday’s races!

On Sunday, May 12th, the riders lined up for two Superbike and two Supersport races. Thanks to the team’s hard work over the past winter and this weekend, Darryl and Rhys were well-prepared at the start. The results showed that the hard work paid off with improved results compared to last season, and Darryl almost secured a podium spot in the Supersport class. Rhys found the weekend more than successful:

“It was a great day. I made a few mistakes, a little too eager on the brakes after some setup changes, but overall a good weekend. I’m happy with how the team worked and how Darryl settled into the team. So thanks to the whole team; great job and I’m looking forward to another go!”

Darryl is also very pleased with the race weekend:

Everything went really well and i really enjoyed my first round with the team at hengelo. I am really happy with my results. The team and the bikes worked very well and I am really looking forward to the tt now with the team! The bikes are good, the team is good and that makes me a happy rider and hopefully a good season.

The team has a busy period ahead. At the end of this month, they will be lining up at the world-famous Isle of Man TT. Will we see you there?
